ELTA Technology Wins Golden Peak Award – Outstanding Enterprise and Model Entrepreneur Honors

As Taiwan’s innovative new media leader, ELTA Technology has been recognized for its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and continuous advancement in audiovisual services. In 2013, ELTA received the 15th Golden Peak Award for Outstanding Enterprise of the Year, and CEO Sally Chen was honored as an Outstanding Entrepreneurial Model. The award ceremony was held on May 24 at the CPC Building, where CEO Chen accepted the crystal trophy and certificate from Vice President Wu Den-Yih.
The “Golden Peak Award for Outstanding Enterprise of the Republic of China” honors exceptional companies, leaders, products, and innovations to promote Taiwan’s economic development. In 2013, more than 400 companies competed, with winners selected based on their management philosophy, corporate culture, performance, innovation, and talent cultivation. Notable winners included ELTA Technology, Cathay United Bank, Allianz Global Life, and Pfizer. ELTA, a technology-driven new media company, was recognized as the Outstanding SME of the Year for its diversified and innovative digital services. CEO Chen stated, “ELTA understands that professionalism and innovation create competitive advantage. Since our founding in 2000, we’ve set milestones in Taiwan’s digital video industry — launching Taiwan’s first video service portal, its first HD channel family, and becoming the first media company to broadcast the Olympics in HD and 3D. These achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of all ELTA employees.”
In addition to ELTA’s enterprise award, CEO Chen was also honored as an Outstanding Entrepreneurial Model. Starting with just NT$1 million in capital, she has built ELTA into a company worth over NT$100 million, paving a unique path in Taiwan’s new media landscape. Throughout her entrepreneurial journey, she has faced numerous challenges but always tackled them head-on with decisiveness and precision, shaping ELTA into an innovative industry leader. Reflecting on her journey, Chen remarked, “The road to entrepreneurship is lonely and difficult — you must keep moving forward, solving problems as they arise. Only through diligence, practicality, passion, and persistence can you realize your entrepreneurial dream.”
Renowned director Ang Lee once said, “With every bit of mastery comes a bit of ease.” When people gain control, they become less anxious and more capable; as their depth grows, so does their calmness. Over five years, ELTA has broadcast two Olympic Games and one FIFA World Cup, growing professionally and expanding its global vision through international collaboration. This award symbolizes recognition of ELTA’s continued effort and success. ELTA will keep innovating and providing audiences with diverse digital media experiences, allowing everyone to enjoy the convenience of the digital audiovisual era.
