The 19th Hangzhou Asian Games recently concluded with Taiwan’s athletes giving their all—bringing home an impressive 67 medals: 19 gold, 20 silver, and 28 bronze—tying the nation’s best-ever Asian Games record. On October 5, Taiwan’s baseball team faced China in the Super Round—scoring a record 4.96, the highest rating of the Games.

Roller skating, baseball, 3x3 basketball, and athletics highlights consistently ranked in Taiwan’s Top 5 trending videos, each surpassing 700,000 views and fueling nationwide excitement.

Olympic qualifying events and major sports coverage continue on MOD ELTA
Through its complete Asian Games coverage, MOD ELTA once again delivered the thrill of world-class competition to Taiwanese audiences. The network followed boxers Lin Yu-Ting, Wu Shih-Yi, Kan Chia-Wei, and Lai Chu-En as they secured qualification for the Paris Olympics. Judo star Yang Yung-Wei, who captured Taiwan’s 100th Asian Games gold, and fellow gold medalist Lien Chen-Ling both expressed renewed determination to compete in Paris.
