Unlike traditional television broadcasters, ELTA focuses on advancing new-media broadcasting technologies with a dual-engine strategy centered on sports programming and supported by entertainment content. By building Taiwan’s leading sports broadcasting platform, ELTA provides integrated streaming and content delivery services for both viewers and platform partners. With the continuous evolution of communication technologies such as 5G, AI, VR, AR, and metaverse-based virtual media applications, ELTA continues to pioneer innovative broadcasting methods for major sports events, strengthening its brand reputation and fostering strong partnerships with international sports rights holders and signal distributors—establishing a significant competitive edge.

As the mobile-driven OTT and streaming video market continues to expand, ELTA has partnered with Chunghwa Telecom to deliver sports and entertainment content on the Hami Video OTT platform, while also developing its own ELTA.TV service to cater to sports fans. By continuously securing exclusive broadcasting rights for major global sporting events, ELTA has cultivated a dedicated viewer base and established itself as a leading OTT sports streaming platform. Simultaneously, by acquiring exclusive and popular drama content, ELTA enhances engagement among entertainment audiences and further strengthens its position in the competitive OTT market.

In fiscal year 2023, ELTA achieved a pre-tax profit of NT$172 million, marking a 130% year-over-year increase and reaching a five-year high. Earnings per share (EPS) after tax reached NT$5.98, reflecting outstanding financial performance. Leveraging its “year-round, no off-season” event programming strategy, ELTA’s operations continued positive growth into 2024, with revenue for the first two months increasing by 7.58% compared to the same period in 2023. In July 2024, ELTA will broadcast the Paris Olympics—its fourth consecutive Games as Taiwan’s exclusive rights holder—in partnership with Chunghwa Telecom. This milestone is expected to inject strong growth momentum into ELTA’s 2024 operations and further expand its market scale.
